Navision Axapta 3.0

Navision Axapta is an enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution originally developed by Navision A/S for mid-sized and large organizations. It provides integrated capabilities for financial management, supply chain and distribution, manufacturing (primarily discrete), project accounting, human resources, and sales and customer management. Built on a three-tier architecture with an Application Object Server (AOS), it features the MorphX development environment and the X++ programming language, enabling extensive customization and rapid adaptation to unique business processes. Navision Axapta supports multi-site operations, multiple currencies and languages, and regional compliance, and includes robust planning tools such as MRP/MPS, bills of materials, and shop floor control. It integrates closely with Microsoft technologies, including SQL Server and Office, and is typically implemented through a global partner network. Following Microsoft’s acquisition of Navision A/S, Axapta evolved into Microsoft Dynamics AX and later into Dynamics 365 Finance and Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management, but it remains recognized for its flexibility, performance, and broad functional coverage in on-premises deployments.
